Both Morgan and Elsbeth belong to the current line of character-centric white boxes and offer both a beautiful mini as well as a character card for $30.

Morgan was first released in February of this year (2024) and has since been cited in the official Kickstarter Updates for Kingdom Death as the fasted selling product they had ever released.
Her white box includes a character card with a legendary ability that creates a special, purple colored savior when drawn. Her white box also includes the necessary rules for her savior ability Olthawartta.
Generally speaking Morgan receives a red and a blue affinity and +1 SPD and the ability to invoke her savior aspect to ignore negative keywords (such as cumbersome) on gear. Later on she will be able to trade her life during battle for a different survivor who died during the same encounter

That’s still one of my favorite lines of pictures I took of these figures.

Elsbeth was released 2 months after Morgan, during April of 2024. Her character card is an impairment, rather than an ability, turning her into the straggler during all instances. As far as impairments go, that isn’t too bad. Having a fixed straggler is likely going to come in handy a few times, even if it may be difficult to keep her alive when the going gets tough.

As I am still trying to get back into painting more regularly, I am struggling with brush control a bit. Which ultimately led me to remove an excess of paint from Elsbeths right eye with the help of a knife blade and paved the way for her blinded eye – which, given her nature as a straggler, felt very fitting.

I currently own 3 additional sets and the base game dice and there seems to be room for 1 more set.

Elsbeth also comes in this sturdy and beautiful box, rather than the typical tuck boxes, which has the perfect size for several sets of dice if you are lacking a storage option amongst your game boxes.

These two ladies were amongst the first few figures I had painted in a long time, and looking at them in person, I am happy with how they turned out. I will say I am still struggling with the set ups for these pictures. I’ll call them growing pains for now.

As with all white box content for Kingdom Death, the question of “Should I get these?” depends entirely on you and if you like the models on offer. However, a lot of people seemingly thought so about Morgan.

As always, thank you for your time and don’t get lost in the ethereal dream,
Amathul
