Happy holidays and all that. Technically speaking, I know, its a bit late but, well, Deathmas is here now!

The part about the update is going to be pretty quick this time as there really isn’t much to talk about. This shouldn’t come as a surprise though. I hope Adam and his team can take some time to relax and start off energized into the new year, you know, to get more parts of the inverted mountain moving along! I’ll be waiting for that Screaming God to show up most of all. And dat bee!

Aside from Season’s greetings, we got a gallery of various painted up versions of Atnas and a few Christmas themed items in the shop. This year’s apotheosis lasted for just a couple of minutes before it was sold out – maybe around 10-ish?

As of writing this (about 7 hours after the start of the sale) the big new Painters scale Percival, Female Visionary (archival) and a handful of festive Deathmas art prints have also sold out as well. (Edit: Percival and the art prints have since been restocked and ARE available for the time being.)

Aside from these high-demand items we have the whole slew (sleigh? .. slay?!) of established items like Santa Satan, Elgnirk and Winter Solstice Lucy to pick up. Of course there are also the Holiday and Winter Dice sets.

Finally there are a new lorge Painters Scale Deathmas Nico and the plastic Cockroach Queen with 2 extra Swordcraft cards and a new mechanic for Atnas, as well as a strange resource and some rare gear. (Edit: looking at it right now, Nico surely will sell out in a couple of days. Edit2: and she’s gone)
With Santa Satan apparently coming with a mystery gift now and the changes to the Cockroach Queen, until someone has their hands on either of the two boxes, it’ll will be interesting to see if the Cube of Atnas is still going to be a thing.
Edit: We now know that the old Lump of Atnas is not a part of the Cockroach Queen and may well still be with Satan. Somebody on Lantern’s Reign already got their CQ and shared pictures of the new stuff – like the new Strange Resource that has an effect on the item you craft from it. Interesting!

I am still eyeing the money I got for Christmas and wondering if I should go for something of the bunch, but my 4th and final BF package only just arrived on the day before Christmas. So I might hold off and save it for my precious Screaming God.. or any of the bee-themed monsters.

Everything has been accounted for and I even got 2 sets of Lion God dividers.

I have spent the largest part of today (the 25th) with assembling my newest additions – the Lion God, Sunstalker and Spidicules.

surprisingly the Sunstalker felt the hardest to build

And finally, as anticipated, also on the day before Christmas we managed to end the other settlement, so for now I can (in theory) focus fully on Bogstop again.
We crawled our way to the Gold Smoke Knight, losing fight after fight, hitting intimacy just barely enough to get ground into dust by the (current) final finale monster of People of the Lantern. And believe me, he ground us up good. One of our survivors vanished in a cloud of smoke and just never came out.
These lantern years put quite the dent into my stats compared to my previous experiences, but in the end, it unlocked a strain for me at least. Task failed successfully!

I have also adjusted my stats page according to the new arrivals and the outcomes of that campaign.

As the year draws to a close – my first full year with the game – I will have a look at this year’s settlements next time and write something up for them, before Bogstop continues in 2025.

Finally, with the Feline Entity sleeping peacefully just behind me as I’m typing this, I hope these words find you well, and your Christmas has been an enjoyable one filled with presents and sweets, love and appreciation, friends, family and jellyfish-tick-less unexpected guests!

As always, thank you very much for your time and watch out for those head-exploding mistletoes.. the regular ones are fine,
Amathul
