Much like the Feline Entity in the picture I chose as the top image, I am currently sitting in the dark, waiting and watching for more GenCon intel.
Edit for the Video Links because the post got quite messy:

Not exactly GenCon related but Big_Deno started a new campaign today over on Twitch, likely to be recorded instead of streamed for YT – it’ll be PotLantern and include the Red Witches and Pariah:
Setup
Prologue
We started this year’s GenCon off with a very early reveal of what would be available for purchase at the event revealing both prices and pictures for this year’s new and reprinted content!
As I am not attending the venue myself, I have no pictures of my own and I don’t feel comfortable to share somebody else’s therefor this will mainly be text. I will update this space according to new stuff popping up on the discord or elsewhere.
With pictures of the content appearing online, this post is going to become more and more spoiler-territory. So, should you want to get any of these blind, whilst I won’t be putting down text verbatim, I will still give an overview of content.
The whole Menu as seen the day before opening to the public at the venue:

Gambler’s Chest Expansion — $370
Core+GCE bundle — $666

The big one for a lot of people, who got hyped for what seems like no tangible reason now: no Nukelope Vignette.
But I will say I think there is still a decent chance we might see it get demo’d at one of the tables.
With this look at a few of the display cases, we also have gotten an insight into quite a few of the new White Boxes already:
Survivors of Death 2:
SoD2 features 2 male and 2 female sculpts (yeah!) and the same spread of new content bites as the first iteration of this product line:
4 character cards (2 abilities and 2 impairments), Seed Patterns for weapons, a Knowledge, a strain for a Fighting Art and an Indomitable Resource (FOR THE TYRANT!?!?)
Most of the cards are were only partially readable, but on the model side we are getting Crab Man (a community character that saw its inception GenCon 24 in one of the 2 live-settlements), a survivor clad in Black and Red Armor, Screaming God Armor (hell yeah!) and a PotStars, which I can only describe as the Tyrant’s biggest fan.
Edit: As for the cards:
Crabman is all about the crab family, with 2 different weapons that are paired together and stack.. crab-tokens(?) which can be spent for varying effects. He can also befriend Crab Spiders in the aftermath. From the 2 seed patterns he brings along 1 needs Family (I) to be built.., the other Atnas.
The Red and Black Armor survivor comes with a hefty impairment (no survival or insanity departing bonuses) and a knowledge which lets you turn a random brain trauma into the New Perspective brain trauma for 3 survival.
The Screaming God Valkyrie lets you gain rerolls on survivor deaths and comes with a strain fighting art. Unlocked for using Pounce, Slam or Charge 7+ times in a single combat you gain a momentum token based Fighting Art that can cause guaranteed wounds.
And the Tyrant fanboy has both +1STR (yeah, unga-bunga!) and costs other survivors survival, and the indom weapon is a scythe/saw hybrid that puts drawn persistent injuries into play without rolling for them. Crucially, it appears that this does not inflict a wound whilst doing so.
From what we can tell all signs (including comments made by Dark Tastemaker) point to us getting a Saw Weapon Specialization at some point in the not too distant future. Probably with CoD, would be my guess.
Legendary Character Snow:
Snow the Savior on the other hand features 4 models of the same character which were released in the past as the Savior (xxyears) variants, now tied together with a Legendary Character card, 4 staff variants and an innovation.
Edit: A first full picture of the box’s contents popped up. The Innovation does indeed give Survival Limit +2, is a Hovel consequence that can only be used in settlements without a Dreamkeeper and a once per settlement phase effect that has a savior in your settlement gain a certain amount of hunt xp for an effect, including randomly gaining 1 of the 4 staves (that all give a different bonus to the group when the savior gains hunt xp during showdown or hunt phase), learning a last-resort-type Secret Fighting Art or a random innovation.
The character card is also just “you are a savior.” together with a story event trigger for Birth of a Savior.
It should also be highlighted that the Innovation is a Core supplement, which stays added to your game with or without Snow being used. (Confirmed by Dark Tastemaker)
4th Hovel consequence.. uhm, yeah, sure, let’s go? Wooh?!?
Pillar Survivors:
Fade and Percival now add their hunt events to the pool at certain unlock-points, which is a neat idea, and remove themselves again as well after having been drawn.
Functionally both hunt events seem to remain largely the same as before, giving the Sword of Silence or a Newborn at the risk of being *redacted* (Basic HE10); or obtaining Black Guard Style Secret Fighting Art respectively.
Indomitable Survivors:
Finally we got the 2 new Indomitable Survivors: Badar (thought lost and now returned) with his Toxicimitar from Spidicules and a Secret Fighting Art; and Arco, who not only adds a shield with Block 4 to the possible King weapons but also a new Terrain piece!
There is NO cardboard token for the terrain!
The arch is a fairly dominating piece of terrain so it should be fine, but still a somewhat questionable decision on APG’s side.
The terrain appears to be an instant teleporter from the shield to the arch and vice-versa without movement cancellation in between. Knockback could be funny as well. Just don’t have the shield step through the portal. That’s gonna be an ouch.
Getting more King indomitable resources feels a bit weird admittedly, but the model looks great and I think that might have been the main motivation – she looks cool (and whatever the terrain does, might holds some potential).
For me, a lot of these sets sound very promising. Survivors of Death looks great to me, from the sculpts to the gameplay content – just like the last set, I have no doubt I will picking it up as it will (probably) become available in the shop later in August.
Pillar Fade and Percival look a lot more interesting to me than I had expected initially and I think the transient nature of the hunt events is a nice touch.
As always, I am focused more on the gameplay centric products, so whilst the Flower Knight bust and Painter Scale Percivals are neat, they aren’t for me. And I do like me my Flower Knight.
Questing Erza looks a little like a very serious Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War.
The dice also look great – I was hoping for Red and White to commemorate the Red Witches though, rather than the armor.
Edit Day 1: Its that time of the day again, in the dark with the Feline Entity and I’ve been lagging behind a bit.
We now know the mini from the gift bag is Bloodberry – a crimson croc armor wearing female with a whip – which was part of the same team Wriel was also in. I believe they were part of the same demo a few years back.
There are also small Cancer Pidgeon going around as well. They are weirdly adorable.
I also failed to mention earlier that the Investment Sniper – Punctual Bride is in reference to a story from the community shared with Adam of an engagement via KD:M hunt event.
Edit Day 2: With another day done, there was little to report on for me. There is a first all-round look at all the display cases in picture form on the LR discord now, we know that they have goodies to spend your king’s coins earned during the con on, worth 1, 2 or 3 coins at the booth and that stuff is selling out (so far mainly Percival and Fade).
In regards to the displays – besides the fact that seeing the upcoming stuff and how it has evolved since the last time we saw it is always a treat, there are few things I’d like to comment on.
Something I found quite curious – going by the pictures of the CoD display case shared to the discord, especially now that we have seen all angles – I have not been able to spot the Verdant Lord. It is likely getting an upgrade in model, surely it’ll be bigger. That seems to be what generally happens, but I find it strange all the same, how this monster seems to be missing.
Equally curious: there are 2 models of the Honeycombweaver and people seem to be thinking again, that we might be getting 2 versions again, as it was originally pitched as both a Node 1 and a Node 3 monster. Personally I will hold off from making such assumptions for now – I found myself flip-flopping as well, so I will just say nothing at all for now. As for the model: I’m not sure which size I’d prefer of the two, but the smaller one is noticeably more articulate in its pose, so it feels like a case of older and newer re-design to me.
As for Inverted Mountain stuff: the Gryphon is huge! Or, well, tall. The pose makes it really, really tall. Whilst I am still not the biggest fan of it (it looks too generic for me to get excited about), I am still curious about how it will play. Maybe it will have a showdown demo next year.
The same goes for the Nightmare Ram as well – but that one at least has me curious about its gear and whether or not it will be more showdown or more Dungeon crawl.
There is also a Parasite Queen with the Tomie head, and a whole set-up of the test-tiles Team Death used/uses for Silver City testing. That is surely going to be one very large, very expensive to order thingy they are going to offer for Black Friday at some point. It’ll work great at doubling for some wargame terrain. Corrupted Hive City anyone?
And finally, in the Sparrow Goblin display we can also see the Spiral Knight.
Abyssal Woods progress! Wooh?! It’s been a while since we saw that snail.
Of course both the Ivory Dragon and Oblivion Mosquito are around as well.
As for the King’s Coin rewards. We know now that the Cancer Pidgeon is worth 1 coin (but can be gained through various other means during play as well). Wriel and One Eye are available as well, the latter costing 3 coins which (apparently) is the same as last year. There is also a reported replica of the Ghost Pen as seen in the Sim that was available for 2 coins.
I have not heard how many coins Wriel cost.
Edit Day 3: Another day in the books. Or well, in a different time-zone its probably still just an “almost done”. I have not picked up on anything new as the settlements keep trucking along and the con is still in full swing.
It seems like we are going to get a quite few videos (4?) by BraMithra though after GenCon is over, including a fight with a Titan Bee!
If we get any more interesting reveals I will add them to this post over the coming days.
For now, whilst it would seem we got a look at the catalogue of purchasable releases early, we don’t know what demos they might run that preview upcoming releases (Screaming God feels like the obvious one, Red Witches and Pariah were definitely played on these two days as well, but considering the scheduled upcoming releases beyond the Remastered Wave 1 we might also see Titan Bee or Honeycomb Weaver. I don’t expect any of the upcoming IM quarries though.)
Edit: A Titan Bee has been spotted in the wild for a secret showdown! And it seems to have some fun by picking up survivors.
The gear grids of the survivors show off some of the upcoming changes to Silk Armor (down to 2 armor points, bringing it more in line with the rest of them) with a lot of the abilities blurred still; as well as a handful of bee weapons and armor pieces. It seems to interact heavily with a new status: Focused. The gear seems gladiator-themed, or at least somewhat Roman, featuring both dual Caetus (Fist&Tooth weapons!) as well as a Pugio (a dagger/cleaver hybrid). Curiously the Bee armor (Apian Armor) only amounts to 2 armor even with the set bonus (only 1 base armor for each piece).
Edit Day 4: And with that it is over. The last day saw the conclusion of this year’s settlements – including a fight against The Old Master because the settlement wanted to hunt the Beast of Sorrow and the table GM told them off for trying a hunt that was too easy and a Death Blow on the Black Knight.
As for “reveals”, on the discord we got pictures of at least a few of the possible event traits and resources. And you could apparently also get a personalized resource to take home. But that is about all I got for today.
With GenCon 2025 over, we got a lot of pretty pictures to look at again, a new demo and plenty of new releases. Both on the gameplay and the collector side.
From what I’ve red, the Red Witches were one of the stand-out encounters at this year’s con. So that is something to look forward to for any of our regular campaigns.
As for the new releases: this month has been plenty expensive already for me, with the pre-order, so I will take my time getting the things I want from this wave of releases at the end of the month, but I will definitely be picking up SoD2.
I’ve since come around to the idea of Snow, and the Indom Survivors feel a little like Pokémon to me.., so.
As mentioned before I will be linking videos I find with interviews and demos at the top of this post now that the event is over.
As always, thank you very much for your time and for bearing with me!
Amathul
