Once again it is sale/update-day!

Whilst the sale delivers another batch of beautiful minis and a just few interesting additions to the game of both the older and newer variety, the update will probably receive mixed reactions.

For what its worth, whilst the breadcrumb trail to CoD gets continued with new artwork, and the current iteration of the Boiling Water Bugs are shown off – coming with the Inverted Mountain Quarry the Nightmare Ram and its dungeon – this year we are not getting a new, more detailed timeline.
And whilst the accuracy of these timelines has been sketchy at best, the current year typically has been more hit than miss. But, considering how reactions at least over on the Kickstarter page tend to be when it comes to delays, the team might just not want to put up with the additional scrutiny this year.
Speaking of delays, the update is quite vague on the status of both the Legendary Cardpack Vol2 and Campaigns of Death in this regard. Whilst this might just be a case of people reading into it too much, the lack of more concrete information lends itself to negative speculation. Speaking for myself, I wouldn’t hold my breath for CoD to release this year, and that is more or less the same stance I also had around Black Friday 2025.

As for the Screaming Goat, no news currently in regards to the boat, just the hint that it might arrive around Lantern Year 24-ish in game.
Sadly, Preacher also is not available from the local warehouses as of writing this. Hopefully we won’t have to wait another full month for her to finally arrive in the hub warehouses!

Finally, the probably most interesting bit about the update – we got an announcement for Expansion of Death Vol.1 reprints!
Mentioning a reprint of 3 of the most requested out-of-print expansions, with additional quality upgrades, as in removing of typos and rewriting certain rules.
Slenderman and Gorm are likely 2 of these reprints, with my money being on Manhunter as the third.

This year’s Valentine’s Day sale comes in with a few gorgeous new additions to the line-up of figures.
But first: T-shirt!
None other than the coveted Despair design makes a return. These won’t last long, so be quick! It’s one of the oldest artworks for the game and has been associated with the Darkness Mode in CoD.

As for minis, the Iron Succubus continues the ongoing trend of “naked” monster-previews. A beautiful sculpt with a certain elegance, I dread to ask, what do we think? How many years before we will see game-content for this monster?

For me the other big-ticket-item would be the archival remaster of Till Death Do Us Part. Featuring beta-content for a 5th principal – Bonding (after innovating Partnership), it is a renditions of the intimacy couple fighting back to back.

Besides a new Painters Scale of Allison, there is also the first pay-off January’s preview pictures: Phantom Weaver – the bee girl. She seems to form a narrative pair with Griswaldan – another photoresin mini with beta content. These 2 share one of the artworks up for purchase this month.
Finally, (ignoring the Death High Twilight Knight and Valentine’s Day Pinup Twilight Knight – so much Allison), we also got another Indomitable Survivor – and I would be more thrilled, if it weren’t another King Indom.
First released as a Painters Scale Hollowheart Rene was incredibly popular and we knew were going to get her as game content eventually. Well, here she is: Heartleech Baseland Rene – what a name. And it does get weirder still – the indomitable resource is an .. emotion? Sadly, we don’t get to see the weapons this time (the sword can be crafted twice) – but, considering its King gear they are sure to be wild in some way or another. They better be, you are going to have them for what, 3 Lantern Years?
I am happy that there are more indom survivors, as I personally like these additions to the game very much, however, I can’t deny I would have preferred a different monster.

As for the KDSim – Goth will be the first wanderer besides Luck available digitally! A solid choice in my opinion. I have written about Goth here, if you’d like to get an overview of what she has in store for you.

All in all a solid sale in regards to new releases, if maybe a bit light on new gameplay content.

Should the shirt interest you and you are not a size M or S, be sure to get it soon – as those stocks definitely won’t last long!

Now I need to figure out if I want to get anything for myself this month. The beta-principle is quite tempting, I so have to say.

As always, thank you very much for your time – to get lured in by the Iron Succubus!
