Let’s first run through the sale and update real quick!

April is Lagomorph month and the sale fully reflects this. Not only does this mean we see a return of the typical cadre of “Easter” minis and items, like Easter Aya or Pascha, or the especially .. difficult .. colored Easter Death dice – one of my personal favorite sets as they just mess with your eyes – but we also get both the return of the tantalizing Reverse Lagomorph Suit Erza and the debut of Reverse Lagomorph Suit Lucy.
I would doubt either of the two last all that long, despite the heftig price tag that comes with blood-bank items.

Of course we can’t miss out on another fucked-up-little-bunny-man this year, this time not in the form of a Lagomorph kit but rather an entry into the Endemic Life series – Lagomorph (Pseudomorph). Getting to see more of KD:M’s world in the form of smaller, lesser monsters is certainly a treat!

For collectors there are (were) also an alternate version of Death High Allison (Painters Scale) as well as both the new Lagomorph Prey – Des (2 beta gear cards included) and Ray Vermillion who you may or may not recognize from a knowledge card.

For those who are more like me (meaning: gameplay focused) – this month’s offering is another Seed Pattern Survivor called Zaniyah. Her club – should it actually be one – is based on an Aztec weapon and quite easily built requiring little more than a source of Heat, a Founding Stone and a couple of resources!
I am quite curious about this one! “Unga-bunga protects!” and such feels particularly strong here.

If you are playing on the Sim, this month sees the arrival of Aeneas. If you are interested in my detailed opinions in regards to this Wanderer – feel free to check them here!

Whilst the sale for April was all about Lagomorphs the update takes a look at the state of the First Hero expansion. Moved up from all the way in the back of the timeline to being next in line after Bee/Weaver, the First Hero is meant to offer players a chance to start their campaign in a later Lantern Year – either LY8 or LY21 – as opposed to the Prologue in Lantern Year 0.

Functioning as a Core monster for your campaign, the Vignette-style fight will not only pit you against a solitary hero-level survivor-monster-boss-weapon-master-powerhouse but also create the settlement you are trying to take over whilst you are fighting!
We already knew from earlier sneak peaks that this fight would feature a veritable arsenal of weapons for the First Hero to switch between, but this card-powered mechanic now also includes survivors, innovation and even new principles!
Wouldn’t you like to be a fledgling monarch?
Well, you gotta win the fight first! And who’s to say the settlement will actually welcome you as their new leader just like that?

There is also a poll at the end of the update where you can cast a vote for a Frogdog-based weapon to be added to the expansion. As a true copper-apologist I, of course, chose the Bullfrog Mace.
Whether or not you agree with my choice – go vote! It appears to be open to non-backers as well (seeing I am not a backer and was able to vote myself)!

With that all out of the way.. I honestly don’t even know where to start.

If you are reading this, chances are you saw me, the site and the Feline Entity featured in this month’s official newsletter – welcome!
I hope you will enjoy your stay!

I was out and about when I first saw the newsletter hit my inbox and to be featured in this month’s community showcase wasn’t something I would have ever expected, especially after this last month having been so slow for the site overall!

I told the Feline Entity the great news as soon as I got back home and she .. I don’t know .. she seemed alright about it?

I’m sure she’ll return to being mildly whelmed by the prospects of exposure soon enough and I know she will be hard at work helping me out getting my projects in order for the upcoming month.

Speaking of which, whilst I will still be stalling Season 3 a little bit longer – the Screaming God can’t get here soon enough – with the EU customs issues clearing up there are a few things that I finally got my hands on not too long ago. Like my copy of the Pillar – Forge Priest or the Preacher Wanderer, who looks VERY interesting and quite powerful if you are willing to lean into her gameplay elements.
And I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t considered another marathon-session for a Preacher campaign as soon as she got here yesterday.

But besides all that I’ve also hit another different kind of milestone just last week:

100 painted models!

The Frogdog and Red Witches expansions were actually my first 2 fully painted sets.

Inspired to take stock of my collection, I am now at 103 painted models out of a total of 208. Neither of these 2 numbers are likely going to stay the same for all too long though.

But that is where I will leave things for now.

Thank you very much for your time, unga-bunga protects!
Amathul
