Well, this is a weird one.

As has been mentioned by Team Death in the discord, newsletter and Kickstarter update, this month will only see the release of the resin pieces released at GenCon.
All plastic – a.k.a. the stuff with game bits shall be put up for sale at the end of September.

I can’t say I particularly like this decision but it will make the start of this month a whole lot cheaper for me.

Anyways, without any large surprises offered this time around, this month has seen the release of all Resin sculpts and accessories made available at the convention. This includes:
– Butcher Lvl2
– Questing Aya
– Sci-Fi Dwelling Keeper (or as a Painter’s Scale)
– Phobia Vol2
– Honeycomb Weaver Shirt
– Parasite Queen Dice

and the big one:
– Light and Shadow Dice

There’s also a bunch of resin Twilight Knights that have popped up as well, though that listing feels like something they discovered a bunch off in their vault and just decided to add it to the sale this month.

Edit: I spotted a couple of items on the shop that were either unavailable or seasonally limited like Brave + Hollow, Lion Champion or Summer Goth. It might be worth just having a look through general listings as stock for at least some of these probably got “rediscovered”.

The update is also largely a look back at GenCon – as per usual – and there is little of actual information in it this time around besides that Dead Armor is heading into production together with the Promos of Death box.

There is a lengthy community garden however, though the actual information that can be gleamed from Adam’s answers is often times not that much. There has been mention of new philosophies being in the works though, that Abyssal Woods won’t be quite as big as the GCE and that the Silver City expansion might include some rogue-like elements.
Furthermore, with the first reprints having been sold, there were a couple of questions in regards to card packs and the updated expansions, but I don’t think any new meaningful insight could be gained from the answers, thus I’ll refrain from commenting.
There’s also another couple of “I’ll check with the team” answers in the written Q&A which feel both pointless and weird to me.

All in all, whilst I didn’t expect too much from this month’s sale/update, I can’t help but feel a little disappointed by it anyhow.
Getting non of the plastic just feels like a bad call overall, but .. to be fair .. that might be linked to manufacturing and delivery to the warehouses in a way. Getting products in only half the available regions wouldn’t have been particularly great either .. as we got to try out earlier this year.
Still, having access to the reprinted Slenderman and Dung Beetle Knight at least would have been really nice for the community at large.

But it is what it is for now.
I’ll be back with Season 4 in a day or two by hunting my first Gorm for the site!
