For this year’s Halloween celebration the update and sale both walk the strange and narrow path of both being large and small at the same time.
As we return to the outskirts of Dedheim for yet another year we are left with .. not much new stuff at all, really. At least when you are solely looking for new gameplay content.
All in all we were left out in the cold with exactly 1 new piece of beta content .. and as you will probably know – that’s not typically bundled with plastic.
But, to be fully honest, this does not come as much of a surprise. It has been mentioned by a Team Death member over on the discord that we’d be seeing less single release plastic featuring gameplay content over the next few months in an attempt to push along other, larger items down the production pipeline.
This should, roughly speaking, include Bee, Weaver, First Hero, Dead Armor and the ever elusive Campaigns of Death.
So, whilst you can still pick up all the established Halloween-themed items from most previous years – like the “denizens of Dedheim” including Brave + Hollow, Ashbloom or Erza or the series of costumes, including Flower Knight or King, you will not find any new plastics with gameplay to start salivating over (unlike last year).
But you could still take the chance to pick up a copy of the seasonal dice or a Halloween Vixen, or perhaps Oktoberfest Aya.
I’ve personally also come to enjoy the shirts a lot – and this month we get the Golden Bat crest! And that sure was something I did not see coming at all!
Now, after having gone on about the missing gameplay plastic for quite long enough – if you are a collector of the minis and/or enjoy the resin pieces – this sale might have been one of the best ones yet!
Not only did we get a selection of new Painter’s Scales – like Lucy of Dedheim, the Cat-Eater Enchantress or a remaster of the Cyclops Knight, there is also the fact that all of the larger non-gameplay monster models have gathered for this year’s Monster Mash!
The Dermacentaur, the Talpagoria, the Golden Bat and the Blushing Owl all make their resin-return for the Graveyard Smash!
And I would say it’s not really a surprise that a lot of them have sold out within an hour or two – although we do sometimes see extra allotments of items pop up over the coming hours, or refunds hitting the shop – so if you want any of these larger beasties or the new painter’s scales and were a little too slow – keep an eye on the shop over the next few days!
And I didn’t even mention the previously very popular Kingslayer Twilight Knight returning as well. That is a gorgeous sculpt!
2 more things left to mention – first; the only “new” plastic! A naked plastic set of the Disciples of the Witch!
As per usual, “naked” in the context of these releases means “without gameplay content” – so its a chance to get your hands on these upcoming models to be featured in the Abyssal Woods expansion early.
And the other one is Rune – the one model featuring new beta content. Whilst I don’t typically single out beta or resin releases like this, I believe she is wearing a version of an armor set teased in the update and thus wanted to highlight her.

As for the Update, despite it being Halloween, which in turn means we are rapidly approaching Black Friday (It’s not even one more month! AAAHAHHHHH!) we got a good look at the new Gryphon model as well as our first few teasers in regards to Black Friday.
I personally love the new sculpt for the Gryphon first shown off at GenCon 2026 and prefer it hugely to the older one. The Gryphon was one of the few monsters that actually looked boring to me design-wise and I like this more hunched-over version of it compared to the previous iteration.
Hand-cannons and muskets will also seemingly make an appearance, thanks to the Great Game Hunters imparting their wisdom in regards to making fire arms on to our survivors!
Moving on to some mild Black Friday speculation and information – we now know at least a part of the grand overview will be dedicated to the People of the Blighted Valley – which is the gigantic Resin Dung Ball and the Dung Beetle Baron.
We can expect something similar to what we saw for the People of the Wise One in September.
There is also the image of a silhouette .. which, personally, reminds me either of a lesser devil/demon or the Krampus. From what I have seen, early speculations did trend towards Ivory Dragon armor, which was at least partially shot down by a team member – but we will get to know more about it next month, that much we were told at least.
Teasers, teasers, so many teasers. It’s teasers all the way down!

As we are left with no new pumpkin box (you just know it would have been the Lucy sculpt) but a heap of resin monster kits, we humbly offer as sacrifice this year’s Halloween Sale on the altar of CoD – may it arrive that much sooner for we have bled plastic!
As I return to the depths of my hovel, the Feline Entity will surely be glad to have another shirt to sleep on soon.
Next week we’ll return to the Gormpital as there are at least 2 more Spidiculi that require hunting.
As always, thank you very much for your time – I’m going to fall over now and dream of bats of gold.
